About the Appalachian Innovation Investment Fund

The mission of the Appalachian Innovation Investment Fund (AIIF) is to enhance the development of the entrepreneurial culture and spirit in the Southeastern Kentucky (SEKY) Region. The fund is led, designed, and funded by local investors who assist in identifying, evaluating, and placing private investments. The Fund will invest with a priority in the Southeast Kentucky Region, defined as Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Lee, Leslie, Laurel, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Whitley, and Wolfe Counties. However, the Fund will not be restricted from investing in any business that the members deem suitable. The Appalachian Investors Alliance (AIA) is the technical advisor that facilitated the formation of the fund and now administers it.
